Stateline Trail  Sucess!

This time I started at the ID/MT border from the top of the Dry Creek road and hiked the Stateline Trail out to Binocular Peak and back with a stop at Eagle Cliff. Excellent dayhike, pretty hot day though. Love the Stateline area of the Great Burn!!

NE ridge  Sucess!

Started at Diamond Lake and made a loop from Cliff Lake - up the northeast gully to the saddle, up the northeast ridge to the summit, then along the Stateline trail to the Torino Peak trail and back down to the truck. The northeast ridge is a fun little climb - especially with unconsolidated snow and a couple of goofy dogs. Gotta hand it to them though, the dogs led the whole way up through the cliff bands on the ridge and it is quite steep. This route is definitely a fun way to spice up a trip to this beautiful area!

Eagle Cliff Peak  Sucess!

Beautiful hike during the fall season when the deciduous trees are changing.

Eagle Cliff Peak  Sucess!

Dry Creek saddle route. Continued on and did Binocular Peak as well. Hollered at one bow hunter who was looking the other way. Wanted to make sure he didn't wheel around and put an arrow in my backside.

Eagle Cliff Peak  Sucess!

Nice outing in a nice area! More snow than we'd expected, but we were able to work around it; also a bit more bushwhacking than expected! Climbed with Moni--a good day!

Eagle Cliff Peak  Sucess!

June 1984 - with Phoebe Duke. NW Gully route - no snow.
23 June, 2006 with Vern Garner. Lots of snow that caused some detours.
