Eagle Nest

A crumbly pinnacle near Eagle Nest, a rugged peak above Flora Lake in Wyoming's Washakie Wilderness. The mountains in the distance are in eastern Yellowstone Park and are far from any roads; the haze is from the wildfires that closed much of the eastern portion of the park in August 2001.

One does not have to climb this pinnacle en route to Eagle Nest, but it does show the rock conditions of the North Ridge.
