Eagle Nest

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Eagle Nest
Eagle Nest and UN 11,282 just beyond it. Eagle Nest is the flat-topped summit, but notice the steepness of its sides; it is not easy to climb. The knife-edge North Ridge leads to the face at the left edge of the picture. This view is from UN 10,425. Washakie Wilderness; Absaroka Range, WY-- August 2001.

The north face drainage I mention on the route page for the North Ridge is visible in this shot. It doesn't look too friendly.
