| Climbed the SE face with Adam, which was very pleasant until I pulled up onto the small summit which was covered in hundreds of flying insects which were determined to get into every orifice! A quick signature in the (very) sparsely signed summit register and I was off. | |

| We left the ropes at camp and climbed the ledge route described by Tom Lopez (East Face). The 5.3 rating set me up for a sandbagging on the Stur Chimney (5.2 in the book). I think this route is the definition of 4th class and is alot of fun! And of course the Stur route is not a 5.2..Never saw the summit register | |

| Perhaps just the third ascent of this prominent rock spire that sits above Alpine Lake. Fun, easy, but exposed technical rock climbing. Airy summit moves. The summit register was marked with the Colorado Mountaineers and last signed in 1991. | |
