Early Eric
On the South Arête route in May 1979; a young Eric Sandbo checks his gear after providing one of the belays for the SAC Mountaineering Class. The route can and has been climbed in all kinds of conditions. The terrain behind Eric (looking S - in the distance) is upper Early Winters Creek and access to Kangaroo Pass.

I wish I'd climbed that route in snowy conditions...looks really fun. How was the hand traverse slab, was it icy? :D

We brought a SAC climbing class up it, it was snow covered and they mostly walked across it. If I have a photo maybe I would post it. Link here.
