Burnt not Broken  Sucess!

Took the wrong route up to saddle and false summit at south. Trailhead not marked, see my comments in comment section. Great day, met a raven near summit.

East but Not Least  Sucess!

I liked it so much I did it again, this time also climbing nearby Peak 3949. This is one of my favorite local summits.

Run around the Tom's thumb area  Sucess!

Ran up to Tom's thumb in 23 minutes after mid day at 103 degrees. Got dizzy and laid down in the shade for 2 minutes before going back for Brit who was toast from the heat. While she slowly made her way back I scrambled up the top of East End, signed the register, tooks some pics and went back down a different route. In retrospect, you should take the route at 1.5 miles from the TT trailhead at the bottom of the drainage. I started at 1.4 miles before losing elevation but it would be a better route starting down lower and going up the drainage. That said, I had quite a bit of fun with some advanced scrambling.

Great desert scenery  Sucess!

Very nice hike through some very interesting desert scenery. I was surprised to meet a couple on the summit as it sees very few people. The summit log entry was from over 2 weeks ago.
Update: the road to the trailhead is now paved.
