East Face Cirque
I got this nice shot of Mt Borah's East Face cirque on my Saturday morning hike. Kevin and Wes are enjoying the view on the other side of the little tarn. The vertical rise from the lake to the summit is 2440'. Lost River Range - Mt Borah, Idaho

Man, I was so hungry I couldn't sleep so I drove to the first truck stop I could find (Mtn Home), scarfed a plate of garbage food, downed some stiff coffee and drove until I got home at 4:05 AM. I saw the sun rise twice before I finally got to bed.

By Canadian Rockies standards this is an easy approach. It's the drive in that sucks. The road is worse than it was 35 years ago. There are a couple of places where a high-cg rig could easily roll over and if it's wet or snow covered forget it. More than once in Idaho I've come across rigs that were buried in snow for the winter.
