a little late on the east face
6/3/07- climbed the east face with jamie. we had an enjoyable climb with the snow getting no steeper than 40-42 degrees. unfortunately, the face has overhardened(?) from repeated avalanching making kickstepping completely miserable.
might want to avoid one until next spring....try it around may 20th!
5/15/10- returned to the climb the east face w/steve. snow quality was much better this time around. i think it's a great call climbing this route in may. our beautiful, bluebird day disappeared right below the summit block leaving us in a whiteout to finish things off. always a great adventure!
