East from Sierra Point

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
East from Sierra Point
Looking east from Sierra Point; Nevada Fall (top) and Vernal Fall (bottom). Mount Broderick is on the far left, with Liberty Cap to its right. If you look carefully you can see the Mist Trail next to the Merced River, downstream of Vernal Fall. Taken July 23, 2005.

Now this is a spot I've not been on since 1958! Since the '96 rockslide I'd assumed the route to Siera Point was hopelessly blocked, and maybe it still is unless one is a rock climber...what memories your excellent photo bring back!
