Easy Hike  Sucess!

The road north of Indian Creek CG is open. I spoke to the forest service in Price and they informed me that they close the road early in the season to prevent further rutting. They usually open the road when it is dry. The road is severely rutted, but passable in a high clearance 4WD on the day I drove it. At the end of the road, there is a fence with a gate that can be opened. Once crossing the gate, follow the trail the entire way to the summit. Nice views to the west

Great Hike!  Sucess!

Hiked with a friend I made through geocaching. Came across a nice group of deer. Trail from just North of Indian Creek Campground is not the best marked in places but easy enough to follow with GPS.

No trail is indeed correct  Sucess!

Utah County highpoint number two for the day. Came down from the Wasatch Plateau Skyline Drive after doing South Tent Mtn and found the road very passable but also dust chocked. The bushwhack along the wooden rail fence and then up the steep grade was nothing if not demanding. The deadfall is treacherous, and it's in stark contrast to the open, flat summit terrain. Found only a triangulation marker at the summit. #2. 10-05-14. Enjoyed a more pleasant journey- by far - than my 1st venture up. Second time's the charm?

Do once kind of mountain.  Sucess!

After being shut out in May due to road closures, I went back with a shortcut and climbed it. I followed a trail for a ways but then just left it and went straight up to the summit. The summit smelled like a farm because a flock of sheep had recently been on the summit, even found a dead sheep practically on top of the benchmark. The road closure mentioned in my mind is bogus. There was a huge herd of cattle tearing up the meadows that were supposedly closed to motor vehicle access "due to the damage done by motor vehicles". Looked to me that cow pies and hoof marks were the real culprits.

East Mtn  Sucess!

Dennis, Andrew and myself enjoyed a nice hike to the summit of this relatively mild mountain and enjoyed the views we were treated to.
