The only plane wreckage I saw was on Little St. Joe, before you reach the summit.

When you break out of the white bark pine and larch and traverse NW across the willow, heather, and rocks toward the summit (following the cairns), look sharp along the first portion of that section of trail (if you can call it a trail) and you'll see pieces of the wreckage, mostly small metal and stiff canvas parts. The next time I'm up there (probably during August), I'll build a cairn near the parts (if I can find them again) and mark it with some survey tape. I'll let you know if I'm successful.
