East Summit Overlook on horizon

I drove up to the East Rim Overlook on Steens Mountain to watch the sunset. Although I was unable to see any of the cascades this time of year, I could clearly make out;
Strawberry Mountain near John Day
Gearhart Mountain west of Lakeview
Eagle Peak in California
Santa Rosa Peak in Nevada
Hayden Peak in Idaho
and what I believe was Newberry Caldera near Bend.

It is stated you can see Shasta from up here, but this appears to be the wrong time of year.
