Yes I am aware of the name bestowed by Mr. Roach. I think the confusion lies in the fact that on the USGS Quadrangle the mountain is labeled Willow Benchmark which rises above the Willow Lakes and Willow Creeks. In most cases of naming confusion I would agree with Roach's reasononing (i.e the mountain does rise above Silverthorne and its more prominent progeny is named East Thorn)... but in this case I prefer the name Willow Peak and I think the surrounding geography argues in favor of this name. When this mountain finaly gets an SP page (do you want it?) I am sure both names will be mentioned. For such a massive hulk of a mountain you wouldn't think their would be any ambiguity over naming... but that is a typical Gore Range feature.
