Are you aware this is Mount Powell in CO, not CA? | | Posted Sep 3, 2003 11:54 pm |

Hasn't voted | yes, believe it or not, i grew up about 15 miles from mt. powell in CO, so i'm very familiar with it, but not the NE side of the peak. Sadly i've never hiked in from that direction. | | Posted Sep 4, 2003 10:16 pm |
| Misha | Impressive... | |
Hasn't voted | Great composition and lighting! Did you use the wide angle lense for that? Do you mind sharing your camera settings (aperture, focal length, etc.) on this one? | | Posted Sep 3, 2003 7:45 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! Yes I did use a wideangle. For this image I actually used two different exposures (digital) and blended them together in photoshop. The effect is similar to using a neutral-density filter, to brighten up the darker foreground. The top exposure was 1/160 sec at f 6.3. The bottom (foreground) exposure was 1/90 sec at f 5.0. | | Posted Mar 27, 2004 9:21 pm |

Hasn't voted | I've only seen one other shot from here, and as much as I liked it, this one is a cut above. Not many people visit here. I am in awe! | | Posted Dec 23, 2004 8:12 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, Todd. Your photos are really good so your compliment means a lot! This area is a very cool spot with a fun forest bushwacking hike in. I'd like to go back there sometime for sure. | | Posted Dec 27, 2004 7:48 pm |
