| fedak | Main trail then on to Flagpole ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 8, 2011 | |
| Took the main Echo Lake trail and then the spur towards Triangle Lake- but hit the snowline a couple hundred yards up the spur. From there it was cross country on well consolidated snow (no snowshoes/skis) that lasted until 1/4 mile below the summit. From Echo I continued the ridge traverse over to Flagpole and descended to the lake from there. Pics and commentary are here. | ||

| winemanvan | My First Sierra Peak ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 16, 1973 | |
| This was the first Sierra peak I climbed. My friends and I sat on top all day smoking Marlboros, listening--over and over--to The Moody Blues, and Grand Funk Railroad on a big heavy cassette tape recorder. We said things like, "I don't know man." and "Bitch'n". I didn't have a camera, but the image of Echo Lake below is burned into my head. It made quite an impression. | ||

| Jonodo | From Flagpole Peak ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 28, 2009 | |
| Climbed this one after Flagpole Peak. The traverse to Echo Peak from Flagpole is easier than it looks. Lots of flat sandy spots. Nice views and finally some cooler temps. | ||

| fedak | Trail from Echo Lakes ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 26, 2009 | |
| The "unofficial" trail from the Triangle lake junction is in better shape than the "official" spur trail from the PCT. Skeeters are out! Pics are here. | ||

| Kerstin | Up Tamarack Trail to Echo Peak ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 26, 2006 | |
| I hiked Echo Peak via the Tamarack Trail with Anita. After hanging around on the summit for a while in perfect weather, we descended Echo Peak's northeast-facing ridge to Upper Angora Lake. We purchased lemonades at Angora Lakes resort, talked with several friendly people, then made our way down the steep trail to Fallen Leaf Lake, lemonades in hand. I remember giggling with Anita, and heard her say, "I feel like I just walked out of a bar!" All in all a perfect, mellow, and very fun day. I also climbed this peak from Upper Angora Lake in June of 2000, solo. | ||

| jfrishmanIII | Many Times | |
| This was one of my grandfathers favourite hikes, and we used to do it all the time when I was young. Usually we'd just head straight uphill from our cabin by the Echo Lakes Channel. Sometimes we'd take other approaches too though. Good times! | ||
