Never knew

We've been to Blackwater Falls twice and only checked out the main falls. We were always on the way to somewhere else and didn't explore this park further. Great to know there's more to see.

There are several waterfalls that can be found by bushwhacking down the various streams that flow down into the Blackwater River just below the falls. I believe this falls is the only one accessible by trail. It is right near the lodge. Thank you for the vote as well.

You can actually follow this stream down the mountainside and find several waterfalls, many of which are higher and more dramatic than the one seen here. It is slippery scrambling and bushwhacking, but it is worth it.
