Eldorado Peak from the NNE...

Eldorado Peak from the NNE (from the summit of Austera Peak) on August 20, 2004. Interestingly, the summit snow cap was tinged red by that weird algae that lives in firn. In front of Eldorado are the Tepeh Towers (L to R): Flower Tower, Oliphant Tower, two unnamed pinnacles, Bandana Spire (just left of center), and the Tyee Crag group.

Interesting...

I always wondered why are some photos taken on the Glacier are red. Thought there is something wrong with camera. Here you explain it.
