Eldorado Peak, including the...
Eldorado Peak, including the upper approach and West Arete route. A is the top of the Eldorado Creek basin and the ridge that separates it from the Eldorado Glacier / Roush Creak basin. This is where most climbers camp for the standard, E Ridge route on Eldorado.

The pink arrow B indicates where the standard route splits off N and up the Eldorado Glacier. C marks our bivy on glacier-polished rock at the west edge of the glacier, and the pass (6720+') that leads across the ridge and down into Marble Creek Cirque. When you reach D you can start doing what you hiked here for.
