Nice elk !It's difficult to take decent photos of elk.
I believe they have good hearing. Nice shot!!!

While hiking up Teddys Peak near Cuchara, Co. I remembered having seen elk in the past just as I topped out on Steep Mt., a bushwack required to gain Teddys east ridge. This trip I had a new Panasonic FZ-50 at the ready. The long zoom "brought them up close". July 2, 2008
