Wind River Range Slam Peak 1 of 29  Sucess!

This was our first peak, of a 2 week Wild River Slam where I climbed all the Wyoming 13ers in the Winds. We climbed via the Class 4 SW ridge which actually ended up being one of our favorite routes on the trip.

North Ridge Attempt

Husband and I headed out to climb the north arete. Took two days to get to our base camp which was very reasonable. There was still some snow just left of the route, and a lot of talus to get to the climbing. We ended up getting rained out over night and into the morning. This looks like a very long day, but also a beautiful, sustained route and I hope to give it another try one day.

Southwest Ridge  Sucess!

Climbed from camp a little to the west of and below Indian Basin. Awesome and fun ridge with tons of interesting routefinding challenges. Quite exposed in a few places.

SW Ridge  Sucess!

Climbed the southwest ridge from camp in Indian Basin. Great peak with some interesting routefinding and scrambling near the top. Found a glass pipe and lighter on the ascent!?

Such a superb route! The descent was long but crosses through really cool territory.
