That's Amazing!

Fantastic shot! Mount Washington was one of the most fun climbs I did last year. And this is the best pic I've seen of that long ridge. A friend of mine had a near death experience and fall on the traverse. She got lucky. When Redwic and I saw the ridge for the first time from Ellinor, we decided to descend all the way to the car before beginning Washington.

Re: That's Amazing!

Glad to hear your friend made it out alright. I felt very lucky to have gotten this shot, it was all clouds within a few minutes. Thanks for the love!

Oh my god we're gonna die!

That traverse can be absolute death if you aren't prepared for it. Slipped and fell 10 feet one time and haven't tried it since, considering we were without any kind of ropes or protection. Definitely won't try it without more substantial gear next time.

Re: Oh my god we're gonna die!

My dog felt the same way a couple of times on the way down. Extremely soft snow meant she had to slid into my body to get down. Give me food and don't take me back here was all she said on the ride home.

Re: Oh my god we're gonna die!

Looks steep and slippery but do-able in my opinion. Would I use gear? of course I would. Only a banshee would risk it all after being humbled on the climb to Ellinor saddle.
