Elliott Knob Lookout

The lookout on Elliott Knob was built in 1948 and consists of a live-in cab atop a 30 foot tower. It stands next to a small stand of red spruce and is surrounded by a barbed wire fence.

Very sad.

They should renovate the tower and allow it to be rented as overnight lodging. Is this Forest Service land?
