Emerald MountainEmerald Mountain is a small mountain in RMNP situated between the Glacier Basin Campground and YMCA of the Rockies. Emerald Mountain has a few well worn paths leading to the mostly open summit from the East Portal-GBC connecting trail. Good views can be found in almost any direction, the best views being the Continental Divide and Estes Cone, Lightning and Thunder Peaks. The southern slope is mostly brush and will likely be snow free for most of the spring.
