| It was the 100th anniversary of the Colorado Mountain Club's first outing (which was to Cheeseman Park, of all things). So the CMC celebrated by climbing Emerald Mountain from the YMCA. We were on the road for half of the hike, then on the trail the rest of the way. It was windy and surprising chilly, but not so much in the trees. We had a ton of hikers on the summit. Views are magnificent from up there. | |

| Nabbed this one after "Thunder" & "Lightning". It was a little later in the afternoon and the mountain lion signs at the TH were giving me second thoughts, but it was right there and I couldn't resist. Although I think I was able to make quick work of this one thanks to the signs! | |

| Hiked the South Slope from the East Portal TH. The southern exposure made for a very warm hike in the sun, which was nice. | |

| Started the hike at Morraine Park campground, then hiked up Eagle Cliff Mountain before heading south to summit Emerald. And then back via the south side of Morraine Park. Seventeen miles altogether. | |
