Emperor/Northwest Face

Emperor/Northwest Face

Image Credit: 14ers.com This, if correct, is for clarification purposes between the Nortwest Face and the Emperor Couloir. Emperor is shown in red, with the dotted lines being apparent alternate lines through the upper reaches of Torreys' north face. The Nortwest Face is shown in blue and displays the parallel couloirs described by Roach. According to him, the right (more western) is slighly shallower in pitch (~40 degrees) and exits onto the west ridge, as show. I am using and posting this image for clarification on a thread in the Colorado section of the forum. I will delete it if more credit is due and unless SP users feel it contributes to the route pages. Please let me know if there are any mistakes.
