Martha Lake isn't really anywhere near Echo Col. Perhaps you meant Helen Lake? Also, you will then be NE of Muir Pass, not northwest.

I hope this is not quibbling, but the Goddard Canyon mentioned in this report is actually Goddard Creek Canyon, which contains Goddard Creek. Goddard Canyon is northwest of Goddard Creek Canyon and contains the South Fork of the San Joaquin River.
