Endangered Species
Small's stonecrop (Diamorpha smallii) is an endangered species found only in vernal pools -- "puddles" -- on granitic outcrops in the souetheatern US. It's the little white flowers. Pretty, no?

This is an interesting place, not challenging or particularly high, but the expanse of rock is amazing -- hundreds of acres! Around the back side, there are big blocks of granite in various stages of finishing and polishing for comparison. Really nice way to spend a chilly winter afternoon.
