Living in SLC, you have to do Ensign at least once. Good views of downtown SLC.

I remember having campfires up here/around here as a kid--bet you can't get away with that nowadays.

I agree, not much of a 'climb', but a SLC classic nonetheless. Great views to the Great Salt Lake out west.

tmtn93Not even a peak  Sucess!

tmtn93

climbed it about 7 times all in a span from October 2007 to March 2008, got real sick of the hike and views now. The hike is piece of cake, anyone can easily do it without problem.

I hiked this one with my 4-year-old nephew, Jonah (his first hike without being carried); my 2 daughters; my sister, Laura; and my brother, Guy. The lights of the City were beautiful under a full moon.

Quite an easy hike with a great view of the Salt Lake Valley. It's about a 15 minute hike. Maybe 1/4 of a mile.

Nice views of the city at night. Not really a mountain, but I guess it doesn't hurt to sign the log.

Scott WesemannWatch out for lightning
Date Climbed: Aug 7, 1998

Scott Wesemann

Many times, but the most memorable was with a group of youngsters from the local church group. On top it was obvious to all that the amazing lightning storm that was moving across the valley was headed right for us.. obvious to everyone except for one of the leaders... who had to give his prepared sermon, even though the strikes were getting steadily closer. After a few strikes that were VERY close, I decided to bail and about 5 min later as I was running down the trail, a strike came really close to the group and I had to chuckle at all of the people running off the summit!

Not a mountain by any means, but I've "climbed" it dozens of times. It's a 15 minute walk up a very small hill.
