Entering the hanging valley...
Entering the hanging valley on the wide side of Sundial Peak. This valley provides the easiest access to the south ridge of Sundial Peak.

The highpoint in the middle of the picture is the summit. On the right side of the photo you can see an area of pinetrees growing in the rocks. We followed the left side of the pinetrees on our way up the rocks to gain the south ridge. It's all Class 3 with maybe one Class 4 move. Aug 27, 2005.
