| after having climbed Solstein the day before we stayed the night at Solsteinhaus. From there rather steep hiking to Eppzirler Scharte and the moderate via ferrata to the summit. Descent on the normal route to Solsteinhaus and back to our bikes that we had left the day before above Kristenalm pasture. As the weather forecast had proposed a huge thunderstorm approached that we could escape only because we had a quick downhill via bike. | |

| Cycled from Scharnitz to Kristenalm and hiked up to Eppzirler Scharte. The via ferrata was great fun and I stayed on the summit for a long time wondering about the weather (25°C at Scharnitz). Descended the south slopes to Solsteinhaus and enjoyed a cool beer :) The ride back to Scharnitz was as beautiful as always. | |
