Thanks for the comment. No, I rather think the smooth polish was given by the water, glaciers would have left streaks. This is limestone, and therefore partly soluble in CO2-containing water - a process that removes CO2 from the air!

Thanks. We never really saw the Texas Hill Country, we only drove through on our way west, but I have heard people talking about it.
