| Been here a few times but this was the only visit where I was able to walk the crest of the dunes since it wasn't windy. What an awesome experience. | |

| I've topped the highest dunes twice with my daugher- first time she was 2 (Jan 2010), second time she was 3 (April 2011). Next time we spend the night there, I'm going to head up some of the named peaks in the Last Chance Range overlooking the dunes...so far I've just hiked to the point west of the Crater at above 5,000 feet. | |
