Maintenance

Who is in charge for maintenance of such devices?

Not easily broken from falling stones?

Re: Maintenance

Good question Fabrizio.

I think the owners of the mountain are in charge of this.

These are important questions and disturbing when one is on these ladders-which can be a dynamic experience at times. I think rock fall is probably not much of an issue because the rocks on this mountain are some of the oldest accessible ones on the planet(1 billion years B.C. precambrian!)-really solid stuff- but I am sure that there is plenty of lighting, weather and, God forbid, termites.
