Exposed ledge to Aphrodite

Exposed ledge to Aphrodite
June 4th, 2005 - To summit Aphrodite, one has two options - climb directly up the exposed rib (low 5th) via a crack, or traverse around to the south via this cool ledge (also low 5th) and come up the backside (cl. 3). The ledge starts out easy, but then you have to make an airy step over a void (with a 40 ft drop below). After this, the ledge becomes absorbed into the wall and you have to traverse along a cl. 5 section for about 20 ft on solid rock with good holds.

In the distance you can see the I-215 beltway and Knudson Corner, which is where one exits to reach the Cottonwood Canyons.
