The best season in Utah

I never realized how beautiful Utah can be in the autumn. I spent my first twenty years in Salt Lake City and climbed all the peaks in the Wasatch. That was nearly sixty years ago. Here in Virginia autumn colors seem to be rather subdued by comparison. Furthermore what people here call mountains Utahns would call hills.

Re: The best season in Utah

I have yet to see the out of state fall colors yet. I hear that some sections of the Tetons are good but really I try to search for the Aspen Trees and big bushes. Utah is such a beautiful place that I will likely never move away from this state. Happy Trails out there and many thanks

Re: The best season in Utah

I wish I had been as loyal to Utah when I was your age. However I developed a wanderlust and learned there are a thousand places in the world just as beautiful. However Utah is a good place to get started. When I die I will be laid to rest in Alpine under Lone Peak in the family plot of my pioneer ancestors.

Re: POW and POD!

Oh no is Tyedye taking over SP????? I guess people really love the fall colors...personally they are always more beautiful in person. I am surprized that none of the other Utah Sp'ers are posting photos of the fall colors. Wonder Why? Happy Trails out there Imontop

Re: POW and POD!

I posted a few from a hike up Gobblers Knob a couple of weeks ago. Oh well, I guess I'm not as "popular" as you. Maybe it's those tyedye shirts of yours? Mmmmmmm. Later man!

Autumn ... HUMBUG!

"I got tired of looking at all those leaves in my yard, so I got up off the couch and went into action. I closed the curtains."

Re: Autumn ... HUMBUG!

If your tired of fall colors don't look at the front page today. However Larry if you press your eyes closely to the picture on the screen you will likely recieve cheap laser eye surgery. Happy Trails good friend.

Too late, but not to worry..

My wife already scheduled me to visit an
opthamologist later next week.

I keep having visions of leaves falling..
