Is Fear the Path to the Dark Side?
Just wonderin'! Did YODA climb this one?
This isn't magic; this is an area known as ' Teepee Rocks,' where fossilized fumaroles dot the landscape after they discharged steam and volcanic gases millions of years ago in central Arizona.
Who knows? In my next life, I might be a fossilized fumarole !!!
A large amount of calcite deposited within these fumaroles give them their
cemented look and sandpapery feel.
Please fathom this:

Voted 10/10 | So are mine! I'd hoped my legs would be dancing along the tree line right now but they just won't get involved in the joint effort this spring. | | Posted Jun 16, 2009 2:15 am |

Hasn't voted | I have a treeline trip lined up, but I need
to coordinate regarding some of the sleeping
arrangements and that sort of thing.
Perhaps we'll go up just for the day.

Voted 10/10 | I'd bid it up to 21 weeks :) It seems to me in DryArizona you have two timberlines but I guess you're talking about the cooler one. I hope to spend a night around it as well within a week or two. | | Posted Jun 17, 2009 2:10 am |
