This picture shows the unique beauty of the Alps.

The mighty "Fiescherwand" with the Fieschergletscher at it's base seen from the starting point of the route to Schreckhorn-hut close to Grindelwald.

Left: Klein Fiescherhorn (Ochs) - right: Groß Fiescherhorn

Taken from under 1000 m.a.s.l. More than 3000meters vertical distance in the picture.

Yes, it is! I find it even more impressive than the Eiger northface, because of all the ice in it.
