Wild!

A great photo Dave - looks like a wild route!

Re: Wild!

This section and the section right above it (the Tyrolean) are the highlights. This section took solid pro to 1". One of my favorite all-time climbs. I'd do it again! When are we going?

Tyrolean traverse

So what's the deal with the tyrolean traverse? I'm heading up there at the end of May, I fugure there will be snow. What's your thought on climbing up there at the end of May?

Re: Tyrolean traverse

hmmmm...I suppose you won't have too many issues other than snow in the upper recesses of the route. The return to Contact Pass may find yourself on some icy slopes since its SE facing and things have thawed and frozen in the early spring. The snow going down Contact Pass will likely still be soft to make a fairly easy return. Again, prepare for a LOOOOONG day!
