First of several rappels. Farther down, we donned crampons before rapping into the snow couloir. That was a new experience, rappelling rock in crampons.

Nooksack tower

I look at that tower often...pictures and when we are up there on Ruth or Icy. This picture is breathtaking! Looks like a good (or not good) place for ropes hanging up after a rap. Ouch!

	Hasn't voted	Glad you liked the shot. We would have enjoyed every minute of it if we weren't so afraid of dying. We watched carefully how the ropes laid as we went over the edge. I was going to make a crack about how the rock wasn't strong enough to hang up the rope, but this top pitch was actually pretty sound.
