First sign in 40 miles

After leaving US 93 (alt), this was the very first sign we saw. Using the Benchmark mapbook for Nevada is helpful but so were all the waypoints we made prior to making the trip. Signs are often either not there, vandalized or missing so it is important that you do your homework before venturing into isolated areas that Nevada seems to offer in abundance.
