First view of Thunder Butte

This is your first view of Thunder Butte, shortly after leaving County Road 68 onto Nine-J Road.

The forest of black sticks where there was once beauty, is positively depressing. All campgrounds and Forest Service amenities in this area are permanently closed. Most National Forest signage has been removed.
