| Drove up the 4WD road from Eric's instructions. I think that it might actually be faster to hike up Pelican. :) | ||

| voxnihili | Rough Day ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 10, 2010 | |
| The hike itself isn't too bad. I started out from the west side, but bailed because of lightning. The weather appeared to clear, so I tried again from Pelican Point. I don't know if I ate something bad, was too dehydrated or what, but I did not feel well during my time on top of the plateau. Made it back to the trees before the lightning returned. | ||

| From the parking lot we went straight up. i was calling with my elk calls and must of called in a heard of elk because i had elk everywhere. Just when we made it to the top a snow storm hit and we had to walk out in the snow and darkness. | ||

| Moogie737 | One more county highpoint checked off ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 27, 2009 | |
| This is a pleasant hike. For the most part the trail is easy to follow although a couple of the signs can be confusing. I will post some sort of report if I can and include pictures to help those looking for better hints than the ones in the two county highpoint books in publication. They are outdated in many respects. | ||

| mountaingazelle | Fish Lake Hightop ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 16, 2009 | |
| We did the long scenic drive through Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef in the morning. Then we made it to Fish Lake Hightop in the afternoon. I liked the huge boulders on the summit. Really cool. | ||

| ericwillhite | Drove 4WD road ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 27, 2009 | |
| Had the kids so had to get close. Drove all the way to the end of the road at the base of the summit rocks. My kids loved the big boulders and my 3 year old was able to climb all the way to the summit among them. | Pfeiffer75 | Interesting hike ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 10, 2009 | |
| Took the Pelican Canyon route to the plateau. Had a hard time finding the actual highpoint. Eventually resorted to the GPS. Only a small wood structure and USGS marker at the highpoint. The meadow was beautiful on top of the plateau | ||

| Kadee | Island ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 30, 2008 | |
| This is a very cool peak. I loved the actual summit of this one, I felt like I was on some sort of island with all the huge rocks around me. Great hike. | ||

| LonePeakFreak | Summit at Sundown ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 18, 2007 | |
| Reached the top just in time to watch the sunset. Enjoyable hike on the plateau. Temps in the low 60's, tons of deer and elk. Summit register was destroyed, only the lid remained. | ||

| weeds19 | Foggy hike ![]() Date Climbed: May 4, 2003 | |
| This was a foggy hike with very little visibility. There was still quite a bit of snow on the plateau and it was much colder than expected (15F or so). | ||

| surgent | Came up from the road ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 17, 2006 | |
| Parked near Gahew Spring turnoff road and hiked to the top. Had the peak all to myself on a glorious clear day. Met up with an ATVer on the way down. | ||

| Tracy | ascended via Tasha Creek Trail and descended via Pelican Canyon ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 8, 1996 | |
| I climbed this one with my brother, Guy. We were at a family reunion at Fish Lake and what started out as a family hike up Tasha Creek with 16 of us ended up with just Guy and I climbing to the top (where we found and photographed the USGS marker - not an easy task on a flat topped mountain). Beautiful country up there. | ||

| Eleutheros | Family Tradition ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2000 | |
| I've been on the hightop many times during October's deer hunting season. Usually walked up from Fish Lake's Bowery Haven Resort (before they closed for the winter) or the cabins at Fish Lake Lodge. Also climbed from the west via Daniel's Canyon area. | ||

| Dean | Neat place ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 3, 2005 | |
| We drove up a 4WD road that was one of the worst I've ever driven. Snow stopped us about 2 miles short of the summit and we slept at 11,000 feet that night. Got up early and hiked through the snow to the summit. Then made our way to Bluebell Knoll in nearby Wayne county the same morning. | ||
