Fishhook Arete

[ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Fishhook Arete
Beginning the lead of P1 of Fishhook Arete (and warming the hands from the piercing wind). This is probably the most sustained pitch of the route (June 19, 2005).

Cool photos Radek. I bet it was cold! A tip for future cold climbs--put a hand warmer in your chalk bag. It really works nicely.

Thanks Natasha!

That is something I'll try next time I expect arctic conditions:) . This time around, I was expecting/hoping for weather similar to what we had on Whitney a year+ earlier....sunny, pretty windless, and fairly warm.
