from Tincup Pass  Sucess!

Glorious fall afternoon, exploring a new area of the state for me. Tagged the unnamed 12er en route. Tincup Pass "ok" for stock SUV (just barely, lol).

Easy stroll from Tincup Pass  Sucess!

We took our time breaking camp, then Jeeped to Tincup Pass. We crossed the unnamed 12er en route to Fitzpatrick. We took the side trail around the 12er back to the pass. Pretty area, the dogs had a blast!

Summit Ski  Sucess!

1st: Climb and ski of the east face from the town of St Elmo, decent mellow ski with good snow. Skiing up the road not too fun, but skiing down it sure made those 4 miles go fast!
2nd: With Rachael, east slopes then traverse over to 4 other 12ers and back down to the Tincup Road.

Fitzpatrick Peak  Sucess!

Started to hike in St. Elmo. Left Tincup Pass Rd at Sawmill Hill. The bushes in that area were awful. Had to do major bushwhacking. It had rained the previous night and the bushes were wet. I got soaking wet and was worried about hypothermia. It was cloudy on the summit. For descent, I followed the northern ridgeline of Fitzpatrick and traversed the slopes of Point 12780 ft to reach Tincup Pass Rd.
