Flat Top? | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
No, this is not Flat Top BM, it is Mount Emmons (13440'). The summit cairn is right in the middle. North Emmons, Emmons, South Emmons, Owl, and Lost BM could all have been named Flat Top. July-15-2010 Comments[ Post a Comment ] | lcarreau | What's your secret? | |
Voted 10/10 | How can you detect which point is highest?
No, no.. let's keep "Dean" out of this!
Do you have a special instrument to measure
the cylindrical angles of the highest boulder?
Or, do you just carry a simple GPS? | | Posted Jul 24, 2010 9:19 pm |

Hasn't voted | I use a GPS and whenever possible set a waypoint for either the x or the benchmark on a summit. In this case, there is a small cairn but it is hard to distinquish it from the rest of the rocks. There are a ton of flat summits in the Uintas. | | Posted Jul 24, 2010 11:24 pm |
