Flat Tops Backpack

My son Kessler and I climbed Amphiteatre Peak and Trappers Peak from Trappers Lake.

August 17:

We had rain in the morning and to the afternoon, but late afternoon and evening had good weather. We camped at Wall Lake.

August 18:

It rained all night. The morning was rainy, but no thunder, so we decided to walk a bit up Trappers Peak and see if the weather got better. It did and by noon it was clear. Trappers Peak was a nice scramble and had great views.

Kessler was still ready for more, so we packed up camp and climbed Amphitheatre Peak as well. Great views. We lucked out as on our way back down the trail, it rained again.
