Thanks for your comments om my photos Emil. Much appreciated. This shot was taken a long time ago, but it still works for me.



If anyone knows what those flowers are for sure please let me know. Some time spent with a flower book was inconclusive.

They are of the genus Senecio (groundsels), which is in the Aster family. Individual species in Senecio can be difficult to identify even using a technical key with specimen in hand. I wouldn't attempt to do so by photo, but maybe there is someone out there who is really knowledgeable in CO flora and feels confident enough to let us know. If I had to guess, I would say Senecio canus (woolly groundsel), but could not be sure.
