Following WI4/4+ on the Main...
Following WI4/4+ on the Main Wall in Lee Vining Canyon. The route was described as sporting by the climber in the photo. The thin ice to the left is the Sprial Staircase (250' WI3+). If you look carefully at the top center of the photo, you can see a another climber at the belay station on that route. Jan 5, 2003.

I'm glad you enjoy these David. Thanks for noticing. This and the other one you commented on are among my favorites in this series. They remind me why I like photography and that it really is worth taking some time out from climbing to capture moments like these. Cheers, John
