At the start of the Old Glacier Trail. This was in late June 2009. In spots, the water was almost waist-deep and with a very strong current. I am used to carrying a kayak through rapids and felt uncomfortable here.
If in doubt, take the new Glacier Trail, which is longer but does not have any fords.

Hasn't voted | Yeah, it was a little hairy. I was lucky to find a nice, solid stick to help in the bad spot, which was especially tricky because of a long, wide, smooth rock that could not be stepped over or around.
