Route Description

From the signed trailhead, start walking up Forest Trail 280. Follow the generally good trail 4.6 miles to the summit of Silver Peak, where you’ll find the remains of an old lookout. There are some concrete steps just below the summit. You’ll have some great views of the Chiricahua Mountains from here.

Hiking Distance: About 9.2 miles round trip.
Elevation Gain: About 3,100’.
